What are enzymes?
Enzymes are proteins that are synthesized by every living plant and animal cell. They act as catalysts, or biological accelerators, to speed up biochemical reactions. Enzymes can complete chemical reactions without being used up, which means the enzymes can act on another molecule and create another reaction. Eventually, the enzyme substrate is gone and the enzyme stops working.

Are enzymes safe?

Enzymes are naturally occurring proteins commonly used in detergents to help remove stains. They do not pose a safety issue when used in laundry detergents or cleaning solutions.

The enzyme blend is formulated to help remove stains effectively in one wash. Protease stands out as the most popular component across laundry detergents, pre-spotters, unit-dose solutions, medical device cleaners and clean-in-place systems. It expertly targets stubborn protein stains like food, blood and grass. Amylase, another common enzyme, focuses on breaking down starches and carbohydrate residues from foods like cereals, pastas, potatoes and rice. What are the directions for use?
For best results, measure using the cap provided. For front-load or HE washers, fill the cap halfway to the first bar. For regular loads, fill the cap just below the first bar. For large loads, fill the cap to the second bar. For pretreating tough stains, pour a small amount directly onto the spot, rub gently and wash as usual.
